Werewood Goal, Hunt Enhancement, Inferno Eq Upgrade Lasher, February 18, 2014 Were Wood – New Goal: Once these woods were a magical paradise, full of creatures and filled with the songs of birds and other animals. But one day a werewolf appeared in the woods and the creatures started disappearing. Were creatures took over the woods, and all that remain are creatures that have converted to lycanthropes. The creatures have chased out all the other types of inhabitants. The only remaining people are those too stubborn or desperate to leave. Recently a family was passing by when their daughter went missing. They are looking for someone to help them rescue their daughter, Jessica. Will you help them rescue their daughter? Level Range : 200 to 201 Goal Difficulty : Easy Goal Recommended at : Level 200 Goal Converter : Domain Area Author : Valkur Area Improvements – Inferno and Uncharted Oceans: Inferno rewards have been updated to meet the new epic allowances. Only new rewards will have these updated changes. For example, this change modifies many of the rank items from treasure to armor, with updated resistances. The Nautilus in the Uncharted Oceans has been redone and is newly re-opened. Hunt Enhancement, Note Prefixes, Other Code Changes: A navigator using hunt can now hunt through portals. This does not work in clan areas and only works on standard in-room portals. A great example is ‘hunt shark’ at the start of Seven Wonders will follow the path: run 2e2ne,enter lighthouse, open s,run s,enter bermuda, run 2w This change does also apply to navigating back to your beacons. If anyone is wondering why this was a priority, it wasn’t. I needed to code a version of hunt that goes through portals for clan maze checking so figured I’d tidy it up and give it to Navigators in regular areas. The order of areas on your bypass list was reversing each time you quit and logged back in, which means it would also happen over an ice age. This would also make it appear like bypass was not working as your previously highest priority items would now be your lowest. This is fixed now but you might need to redo your current list as it will be however it was last saved. When reading notes you will now see a ‘|’ prefix in front of notes the same as when viewing character descriptions. You can turn this on/off using the ‘noprefix’ config option. This has been suggested so many times over the years I’m not putting a name by it. Also modified the prefix on both notes and descriptions so that there is a space after the ‘|’, just makes it a bit more readable. The last 3 posts of yearly rankings are back and future yearly notes should not disappear so quickly. Weekly notes will now also stick around for a year, but I haven’t tried to restore any old ones. It is no longer possible to setwanted a player in their own clanhall while their clan is being raided. The output of ‘resists bars’, ‘resists’, ‘masteries’ and ‘masteries totals’ is now sorted correctly. Marketplace outbid notes did not have correctly formatted end of lines which was messing up some telnet clients and the new note prefix. Changing the weapon flag on an item that has been envenomed will now remove the envenom counter and the +damage effect if it had been poisoned by a venomist. Help search’ will no longer display blank lines for items that don’t actually have any keywords. MUD News
