The Enlightened Brotherhood of the Dominion was originally founded by a group of farmers and peasants. Pooled together for mutual protection and the advantages of learning from one another, they built a temple, later to be known as the Oracle. In time their small group grew as others, seeing the benefits of a group working together, joined their cause.
Under the tutorship of Gilmesh, who later became the symbol of the Dominion's worships, the people thrived. As the collection of peoples became more widely known, the local inhabitants began referring to them as monks, and approaching them for help. While the monks were adept at fighting as well as learning, they werent against helping and teaching either, and so classes were formed to help those who wished to learn.
In time the Oracle became a focal point in the land.
