1. Type 'recall', then type 'runto quest'. This will bring us to a
questor where we can type 'quest request'.
2. Type 'quest info' for a quick replay of what the questor said. Type
'runto recall' to return to recall.
3. Type 'runto <keyword>'. Here is an example on how to find what keyword
to 'runto':
In this example upon typing 'quest info' we see:
You are on a quest to slay a grub!
A grub can be found in the vicinity of The western fields which
is in the general area of Kimr's Farm.
Since Kimr's Farm is the area, we can either just try typing something like
'runto kimr' and see if it works, or we can type 'areas keywords kimr's
farm' which shows that the proper keyword to enter is 'farm', so we can
type 'runto farm'.
4. Upon reaching the first room in the area (you can type 'where' to
make sure you are actually in the correct area!) there are a number of
ways that a player can try to narrow down where their mob is:
a) We already know that 'quest info' said the mob could be found in a room
called 'The western fields'. So we could try to find that room. It is
handy to use the link to Aardwolf areas and maps found in the AardWiki:
http://www.aardwolf.com/wiki/index.php/Area/Area
b) Another useful command could be to just type 'where grub'. Maybe there
are many grubs and there is a more specific room to find it in! We could
even try 'where 2.grub' or 'where 10.grub' if there are lots of them! Of
course, this could lead to a type of grub that isn't our quest mob so we
should be careful when using this command.
c) We can also try to simply type 'scan grub'. If there are any grubs in
the surrounding rooms then they will show with the scan command.
d) By using the 'hunt' skill we can hunt down the target. Type
'showskill hunt' to see if you have it (and whether or not it has been
practiced). With the hunt skill you can just type 'hunt grub' and it will
indicate which direction to head in. Continue to type 'hunt grub' and
to move in the correct direction in order to find the target mob's room.
5. The quest mob will have a [QUEST] flag at the end of its room
description: A grub burrows into the soil. [QUEST]
6. Once the correct mob has died a message is shown: QUEST: You have
almost completed your QUEST! Return to the questmaster before your time
runs out. So now all I need to do is type 'recall', then 'runto quest'
and type 'quest complete'.
7. Next, wait through 30 minutes (don't log out, your quest timer will
only count down while you are here!) and then you can quest again!
