If you are for some reason unhappy with your character's name and feel you
should change it, you can contact an Immortal (level 205+) and ask for a
rename.
The fee for doing so is 2 trivia points for the first and second time you
change your name. There should be very little reason for requesting this
more often; if you need to do so, you may still have your name changed, but
the fee for the third and any subsequent renames is 5,000 quest points. If
you have gone more than 2 years without renaming, the cost resets.
Names can be a maximum of 12 characters.
Notes:
- Please use checkname on the name you desire, to make sure it is legal
and not already taken. See 'help checkname'.
- If the name is already taken then check out 'help archive'. Names are
freed up on a regular basis according to the rules of this help file.
- Owned items will be automatically transferred to the new name as long
as they are in the game when your name is changed. If you gave an item
to a friend and need it owned to your new name at a later time, the
charge for doing so is 2 TP per item. Abuse of this condition will be
dealt with VERY harshly.
