Average Damage
This entry will describe the basic yet core formulas for average weapon damage.
Damage is measured in numeric increments.
A range of damage is defined by a descriptor.
Gameload Weapons
Base damage is calculated as a roll of dice (like 60d4).
If you set a damage of XdY, you can calculate the following:
Minimum damage= X
Maximum damage= X * Y
Average damage= ((X * Y) + X)/2
Take for example a weapon with Damage: 10d9
The minimum damage this weapon will deal is 10.
The maximum damage dealt will be 90.
This means the average damage is 50. That is, ((10 * 9) + 9)/2
Weapons of Aardwolf
Aardweapons have their own unique average damage rule, while still adhering to the formula above.
The average damage on an Aardweapon under level 80 will always be (2.5 * weapon level).
The average damage on an Aardweapon level 80 and above will always be (3 * weapon level).
This means a level 79 Aardweapon would do an average of 197 damage.
However, a level 80 Aardweapon would do an average of 240 damage.
The difference one level can make!
